Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming technical illustrator interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

Pick your best work to show, don't show up with a bunch or random crap in a file folder. Keep it simple, if you're an illustrator don't show your amateur graphic design work or some stuff you did for your friends band. Tailor your portfolio to the job you are interviewing for.

Double check your presentation materials. I once made the mistake of grabbing my roughs instead of the finals as I walked out the door.

Once that first impression is made, you can never go back.
