Why do companies and recruiters post jobs and leave off the salary they are offering? They should at least post a range. I do not even consider ads where no salary is posted. Why waste everyone's time if they are offering $10 or $15 an hour and I am looking for twice or three times that? Sorry if this is discussed somewhere else, but I have been scanning these ads for a while and it is very frustrating. If no salary is posted, I immediately assume the pay is way too low or they would mention it.

You are making the wrong assumption. Legitimate high paying companies seldom put a price range in their ad.

They don't want to post it because they want to pay as little as possible for your talent. It is no stroke of genius that your looking but what they don't know is that some are in full on careers looking for a change and if they don't post salaries they lose out on the possibilities of adding a truly great person to their team. Go Figure
