advice on technical writing courses

If anyone is willing to offer advice on technical writing courses, it would be greatly appreciated. To summarize where I am and what I'm looking for, I have a BA in architecture from Cambridge and have worked for a startup investment firm for many years first as an analyst, then doing investor relations. I then decided to become a children’s book writer and recently completed my MFA. I’m adept in the business world but am most satisfied when creating something. I would love to get into technical writing and am willing to do what it takes to break in, but if I pay for more courses, I want to make sure I choose the right ones. (I live in Brooklyn.) Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
