Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most technologist opportunities?

MED TECH IS A FIELD THAT IS NO LONGER ATTREACTING PEOPLE. YOU CAN GET A TWO YEAR DEGREE IN NURSING (LVN) AND MAKE MORE THAN A TECH WITH A 4 YEAR DEGREE THAT HAS NUMEROUS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. I AM A MED TECHNOLOGIST, I HAVE CO-WORKERS WHO HAVE LEFT THE FIELD TO ENTER NURSING. THE STRESS LEVEL IN THE LAB FIELD IS EXTREMELY HIGH, ESPECIALLY WHEN PATIENTS ARE FROM CRITICAL AREAS (ER,SURGURY,ICU,PEDI ICU) JUST TO NAME A FEW. WHEN THE INSTUMENTS FAULTER YOU MUST BE ABLE TO BRING THEM BACK UP AND RUNNING AND RUN ALL THE WORK THAT HAS BEEN NOT DONE. LAB TECH IS ALL I KNOW, HAD I KNOWN THAT THE FIELD WAS TO BE AS IT HAS BECOME I WOULD HAVE DEFINITIVELY GONE INTO ANOTHER FIELD.
