When working as a test engineer I enjoyed being involved with all the subsystems and aspects of a project. I was able to become very familiar with and to operate all parts of a complex system and see it work as a complete system. My tasks ranged from writing procedures, running procedures to verify them, writing and updating requirements, writing operational procedures and maintenance manuals, and interfacing with vendors and customers alike. The test engineer may know the product better than anyone else in the project.
