I found the (ASTE) American Society of Test Engineers on the web. Does anyone know much about this organization?

I know there is an American Society for Quality Control A.S.Q.C. Certified Quality Technician.
There is also an American Society for Quality Control A.S.Q.C. Certified Engineer
(I'm not sure that you have to hold an actual degree in an Engineering of any kind to own that title just pass A.S.Q.C. test. (That certification (unless changed) you have to have so many years to either take courses/seminars earn enough credits to keep that certification)
There is an Quality Engineer In Training Certification through A.S.Q.C.
My last job title I held was S.P.C. Engineering Technician. (just meant I would be working with engineering). But I wasn't one.
So if you find out any thing else on the credentials you have to have to become that let me know even I would be interested in that.
