Find a medical clinic that needs a file clerk or front-desk receptionist. Work there for awhile, be prompt, polite, work hard, get to know your way around their database, file system and etc and get to know the transcriptionists and medical file supervisor, physicians. After awhile let it be known you know how to transcribe. Keep your eyes open, they ususally hire internally first. Sometimes that is the best way into transcription. |

Hi Angela, Yes! That is the catch "22" you want the job, they won't hire without experience, but how do you get the experience if they won't hire you! Try cold calling! Yesterday at work a girl called our office and since someone had just quit...she got hired.
Then, if that doesn't work try online...plug in your city/state and go from there...ALSO...if all else fails,
