I just graduated from the Mid-East Career and Technology Center for Medical Office Assisting and I would like to do medical transcription at home.

I am from Iowa. I am not able to really work outside my home, due to alot of abdominal surgeries. I am divorced and live alone and I need a job where I can work from my home. I have a lot of experience in the Medical Field and have been a Medical Assistant since 1991. I cannot find anything around the Ames/DesMoines area for Medical Transcriptionists! Last time I checked, Iowa employs many Physicians. Is there something out there for me as far as employment? I would like to be able to earn enough money to pay for my essentials, like rent, utilities, internet, phone, food, etc. Can someone give me a name or advice on who to contact? Thank You.
