When seeking a new job, have you had more success/more satisfactory results going through a headhunter or by applying directly to various companies?

I guess like most sales environments they aren't there to be your "friend". They want to help people who are the most desperate who'll take anything & everything & at the split second they call. If you pause or ask questions in your own benefit they'll say you're too hard to work with or you're not serious about looking for a good opportunity. If you're unwilling to pick up & move your whole family to some place 1/2 way around the country or globe they won't even bother.

At least that's my experience.
