Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming vp of operations interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

I'm preparing to interview for a VP of Operations position in a manufacturing company and am interested in receiving any insight you may share regarding the interview process, questions, salary, etc. |

If it's a publicly traded company, search google for companyname sec 10-k and read their financial statement for the last year and last quarter. It will tell you about their financial standing, cash flow, budget, growth goals, and internal weaknesses. Use this information to structure questions about how the company is going to deal with these issues, or how their internal goals support their externally published goals. hope that helps... |

I agree with J3ff. You should also be prepared to discuss your values as they pertain to: metrics you employ for best practice in your work discipline, methods you use to lead people and/or manage projects, be prepared to discuss your four key leadership competencies, define what you consider global competitiveness to mean, what your strengths and weaknesses (areas for improvement) are, your approach to instilling values and integrity at the workplace, your three most important values in the workplace, your personal and career mid-term and long-term goals as these subjects will most probably be discussed. |
