I am new to this and just signed up after seeing some of the ridiculous comments that were posted. I thought this was a tool to help others, not show others how immature and ignorant you can be. LIV and LYDIA, Did you ever think that the person posting the question is a child?? A child that is thinking about their future?? Obviously not. Grow up LIV and LYDIA, you are the ones who need to learn something, like how to be polite!!! You're obviously either children playing on your mommy's computer or you're self righteous know it all pampered housewives that think you're better than everyone else...with lives that are so pathetic that it makes you feel better about yourselves to degrade others. Now, as far as the question...the proper way a normal functioning member of society would answer it...I am currently attending school to work in the veterinary field. It is not skills you need but an education. Volunteering at a local shelter or clinic would be helpful at this point but you must attend a University to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. If you are still attending school, please remember to keep your grades up and do your absolute best so you will be accepted to a good, accredited college. I hope this helps, as I am sure the first two comments were just ignored, as they should have been. Best of Luck!

A child? My eight year old can spell better than the person who posted the question. I didn't realize this forum was open to pre-schoolers. By the way, punctuation and spelling ARE a part of basic education.

Wow. Oky i will help answser yous questshion for yas. 2 be a vetrinarien yous shud relly be abel to hav gud degre of manual dexterity, gud comunicashion skeels, and u shud relly be bussinness savvy. (oh and by the way everyone, I am 16 and wanted to know the same thing so I was too looking this up to put on my resume and once I was this I was just in shock that you adults were being this retarded.) lol.
