being a vet nurse requires you to handle animals, clean cages and in some clinics administer medications to sick or injured animals.
Knowing how to correctly restrain animals to prevent any injury occurring to either the vet, yourself or the animal you are working with are extremely important.
Having a straong stomach is also required in most jobs as alot of the work you do will not be as glamorous as is often believed.

I obtained my job by luck and have been working at a local clinis since highschool and have now been there for about 7 years

Some clinics particularly smaller ones will also reuquire you to answer phones and do reception ona regular basis.
