I had experience with animals (mainly birds) and as being an office assistant but had never worked as a vet receptionist in an animal hospital. I started at 10.50 an hour and was bumped up within a few months to 11.00. I think the whole customer service aspect is huge! Having a lot of customer service experience is extremely helpful.
