I am 44 and just lost my job of 13 years. I have been involved in rescue and volunteered at the Humane Society. I want to follow my (low paid) dream to work with animals. I have decided to find a temp job and then do a distance course...maybe get AA degree. My problem is that I am very intimidated my going back to school. I took my GED in 10th grade, have no idea where those records are. I know I will need basic college courses for the degree and that scares me. Plus, looking at the distance programs offered I am confused on who to choose. I am considering Purdue (very exp!!!), San Juan and Cedars and possibly St. Pete. I have no idea what I am doing and need someone to take me by the hand and guide me. Is there anyone that would be willing to offer guidance on my new path? Thank you,
