I would love to become an RVT, but there is no local college that offer the program. Carrington College is too expensive and has many negative reviews. Foothill College has good reputation, but it is too far from where I'm living. Traveling there everyday is impossible. I want to gain experience as a veterinary assistant first. Once I get a job in veterinary clinic, I will pursue online vet tech at either San Juan or Penn Foster. Currently, I am volunteering at Valley Humane Society in Pleasanton to gain some experience. I am also taking Pet First Aid in October. But I know that it's not good enough for me to find a vet assistant job.

Is there anyone taking veterinary assistant course at Boston Reed College? I plan to take the program at Acalanes Adult Education in Walnut Creek. Please give me your opinions about the program. Thank you.
