i was thinking of signing up for the $150 game tester as well but it seemed like a scam as well. why should i shell out cash for the info to get a job that is not guaranteed to me? |

Don't invest so much money into something like that. Find out mroe information before you dive into that industry. the gaming industry is tricky and you're gonna want to know all you can before you spend 150 on something you'll regret later. Under no circumstances should anyone pay anything to be a game tester. The primary reason being that anyone saying "you can get a game tester job if you buy this package" is a scammer. Most, if not all, game companies hire testers the old fashioned way, through interviews and application processes. Also, if you see anything like "$50+/hour" it is also highly likely a scam...game testers, especially beginning testers, never make that much. If you see anything saying you'd have to pay in order to be a game tester, don't invest as it is a scam. |
