Virtual Assistants don't earn salaries. Salaries are earned by employees and telecommuters.

Virtual Assistants charge fees. The fees they charge should be based on the value of their skill and knowledge as well as the value of the results they achieve for clients. And they should at least be at a level that will achieve profitability and sustainability for the Virtual Assistant service provider's business.
