Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming visual merchandiser interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

I think it definately depends on what type of store format that you're looking to get a job at. I've been told that they always look at your shoes to see if you wear more "work friendly" shoes or if you wear fashionable heels. I think it can present a more of a hard working attitude if you wear the first suggestion. However, some stores really encourage you to wear heels. So that sort of depends. I would be ready for anything also, because sometimes they can be working interviews where you have to show your skills on the sales floor. So be prepared to work- especially if it's a second interview. It's also a general good idea to dress fashionable and neat in appearance. |

I have always dressed fashionable and worn heels. The only store I have ever heard prefers you look like you would if you are working is Urban Outfiter. I have never had a working interview and I have always taken a portfolio, whether it is fine art or visual. |
