i just started working for c&s about 2 months ago. the work is a lot harder than it looks. you have to move fast picking up cases and stacking them on your pallets, no individual case is very heavy but it gets somewhat taxing lifting them over and over for 8 - 12 hours. the trick is to set the box down on your skid in the right spot the first time so that your pallets don't spill when you drive away. i'm paid piece rate, 10 cents per case. i pick 150 cases per hour so that's 15.00. some guys in the warehouse make 25 - 30 but they've worked there a long time and know the aisles like the back of their hand. it's a good business to get into because you can make a lot of money if you really bust your ass.
