Yacht Broker Sea Trial

When a broker is representing a seller. What is the normal practice for a sea trial? Will the broker take the prospective buyer on the sea-trial, or will he accompany the actual seller aboard the boat during the sea trial? I can see advantages & disadvantages to both sides. Any have some experiences to share? Thanks!

The surveyor, captain, broker, and buyer attend the seatrial. The captain runs the boat, and the owners crew. The captain is usually the owner/seller. The owner/seller must pay for a captain if he/she does not captain. Rarely, the owner/seller may attend and hire a captain.

Typo: I meant the "others crew" meaning the surveyor, broker, and buyer not "owners crew".
