Hi all, I'm about to turn 30 and am ready for a career change. I have a BA in philosophy and political science which I earned almost 10 years ago. I'm a great student so I am not too concerned with coursework, but as one might imagine, my liberal arts background does not include any accounting/business courses.

The local community college offers something they call a "concentration" in accounting which supposedly allows someone with an unrelated bachelor's to take 30 hrs of coursework and then be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. This sounds pretty logical to me. Has anyone gone a similar route? What do we think about this as a way to enter the profession, getting my foot in the door fairly quickly?

Thanks for reading!!
