As activity professionals, we are always looking for resources.
Here is a book that is ideal for those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

The main focus is baby photographs and activity ideas related to them.

And don't seniors love babies.

Here is the title:"Adorable Photographs of Our Baby-Meaningful, Mind-Stimulating Activities and More for the Memory Challenged, Their Loved Ones, and Involved Professionals"

You can learn more about the book and other activities
by visiting
at www.alzheimersideas.com or this blog at dementiaviews.blogspot.com

or go to Amazon,com
or Google books

Susan,
I have worked in the activity dept for over a year with alot of alzheimers and dementia residents and I have found that there has only been one that has had a stuffed animal that she calls her baby.On the most part they like to do activities that with keep their minds alert and active,so they can remember their families.I am trying to get certified to be a Activity Director, but it is hard to locate a local school. And the cost is so high.I lost my job after 30 years because of job reduction along with the pay I was making .I went back to school to learn new things on the computer. Now that I have that I want to go futher into the activity dept and become a director.
