Of the various information system elements, do you believe that technology or people are more important?

Chelsea,

I'd say knowing how to use the technology is much more important than being a people person. As an admin you must produce work using various forms of technology/office machines. You must know Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc. You should know how to clear a paper jam from the copy machine, scan and fax documents etc. Those kinds of skills are highly valued.

At the same time you must be easy to work with, helpful and friendly.
