why are vietnam era vets having such a hard time finding work?

It seems to me that the discipline and loyalty you learn in the service makes you less employable in tampa. I've been out of work for five months and can't even get a temp job. I've gone to offices and was told nothing is accepted except by electonic submission. What's up with that? I'd give anything to have a mentor but I only seem to find people afraid to crosstrain and don't realize you lose talent you didn't even know you had in an employee.
