Hi all! I got a conditional job offer with Delta on March 3rd but I haven't gotten a date for training yet. When I called Delta they told me that the last class they are offering is beginning April 1st, is it true? Right now they are doing my background check and I heard from them only once because they could not reach a past employer of mine. I hope they will contact me at least 2 weeks before I need to go! Hope to meet some of you in Atlanta!

Patatasavona, Congrats on getting the conditional offer! Just be patient, the background check takes time, up to 4 weeks in some cases. I've heard from a reliable source, that they are planning to be hiring through June. Keep us posted!

Thanks Melissa! After seeing "2008 DELTA'S NEW FLIGHT ATTENDANT ACADEMY STINKS" felt there was a need for a new forum. Hope you and others will find in here support, encouragement and a place to speak your mind!

I have a couple of questions more if anyone knows : How likely is to graduate from the Delta Academy? I know you have to do 90% well but how many people actually make it? And how likely is to get International flights in the first years if one has multilingual skills? Thanks!

Hola to all! Judy, did they tell you "congratulations" at the end of the second interview? Did they say to wait a couple of days for an email? Or that someone will call you to schedule your FTF? If it's been more than 3 days, I think you should give them a call. You got nothing to lose and maybe, an FTF date to gain. Good luck to you!

Pat, going by what I've read in the DL forums, the training is not hard if you study. There's alot of information to be covered in 6 weeks, but the DL facilitators want everyone to pass. As far as the percentage of people that graduates in each class. I don't know. Maybe if one of the graduates reads this and can answer that. Also, most people are going to be based in NYC (JFK). If you're an (LOD) Language of Destination F/A, then you might get to fly international sooner. Hope this helps!!

Im just applying for the FA job. I did one phone interview. She told me Congratulations, someone will call/email you to set up a F2F. Is this good?
I keep reading about people doing 2 phone interviews, i only did one. What do you think?

Hi everyone! I just completed my first phone interview and was told to complete an online assessment, which I got confirmation it was accepted, then complete an online application and I would be receiving an email from them. Chelsea- you had said that they offered you a face to face after just one phone interview, did you already have the assessment and the online application completed? Has anyone esle received an email or phone call after their first phone interview? thanks to anyone that can help!

Yes, i already had the online stuff filled out. I just can't remember if they said wait a few days or a few weeks. When is the last training start, because i dont finish up the semester until May 6 (when i have my last final) Though i coud explain my situation and possibly take my finals early.

I think I read somewhere that they have training dates until June 1st, but not sure if that is true. I would talk to the delta recruiter when they call, explain your situation, and see if they will start you after your finals. Also another option would be to talk to your professors and ask if you could complete the semester via web vista.. I'm in college also and that's how I would be completing it. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I got as far as filling out the application online and then advised to call immediately for a phone interview. Just wondering how long does it take to hear back from this point and what's next. I only took this a few days ago. Any idea how long before the next step? Good luck everyone. :)
