Anyone leasing on owner / operators in California?

Well call it putting the cart before the horse, but I got a great deal on a 48' wedge, and I have my paid off Ford F-350 dually. Now all I need is to find a way to haul and pay my insurance every month. Problem is being active duty Military I am not entirely sure I can haul enough on weekends alone to make the $590 a month it'll cost to cover my truck and load and trailer payment. Are there an companies that'll take me on at maybe a reduced insurace rate, or do I just have to bite the bullet? Is there a way I can be insured ONLY when I haul commercially?
