I have been a STNA for over two years now. I have worked agencies which has taken me to hospitals, psychiatric wards,
post and pre surgical, HIV and C-Dif centers and have put in some extensive time with MRDD. I am also certified to pass controlled substances in the MRDD setting. I pray that there are some CNA /STNA's tired of the low pay and no benefits! The directors of these LTC's are pulling in 6 figure salaries but if we organized, we could shut them down in a heart beat. These are primarily government funded / regulated. Without us "butt wipes" they would HAVE to close their doors. Are you tired of the shifts, overtime [forced]
and holidays and weekends with litle compensation? Talk to me!
