CNA training with no experience

I've heard of people with no medical experience being able to get on-the-job training to be a CNA (instead of having to pay a bunch of money for schooling) and all they have to do is agree to work for the place for a set amount of time or maybe through some other agreement. I was interested in doing this but was wondering if anyone knew of any hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, etc., who did this in the Riverside/San Bernardino county area?
