c. k. said: was looking for free or low cost casac training program in the bronx or manhattan. haven't found any are there any free ones for people who aren't drug abusers? well you started up in the wrong field from start, listen to what you just said!If you are a drug abuser i do believe they would be on the other side of the fence and not teaching relapse prevention, and 12 core curriculum,, maybe you ned to change carreer goals before you get into the field of addiction counseling,, Good luck |

Oct. 2009. Chicago, IL. I am disappointed that Samland and all other institutions that have CNA programs are so shy about revealing their costs and qualifications. I recently picked up info from Truman College CNA program and the entire cost of the program is $1101. “Other” expenses bring it up to$1,500: textbooks, tests, supplies (uniforms, stethoscope, etc.). I assume it’s the same everywhere else. There is a preliminary Compass ATB entrance exam (Google it and see what it is). College grads are exempt. Shots record required. It’s an 8-week course. Weekend course is 14 weeks. |

Jethro Healthcare School offers CNA for $750... Teachers are great! |

i also would like to inform you that if you consider Jethro Healthcare, you would need to study hard, its not that they will make your life tough, but they really want you to learn. They are not like other schools who will get students as much as they could and wouldnt care if their students are really learning. They care much about the training that their student will get, and of course, they will really try hard to make the students pass the board exam. They do care about the passing rate of their students in the Board Exam. |

For the Boston peeps. THere are CNA courses at American Red Cross. IT's only 850.00 and they have full or part time classes. You get hands on practice at a nursing home. I take the night classes and it runs for 8 weeks. 3 days a week and for 4.5 hrs a day. |

Catholic Charities in both South Boston, MA and Brockton, MA offer CNA classes. You can check them out here: www.ccab.org/NurseAssistant/index.html They may even have scholarships to help cut the cost of tuition. |

Manuela in Brooklyn, New York said: helo Suny delight if you want to take the career for lpn go to Merit school or also Dover school in NJ. they have financian aid they can help you.the Dover also have one on Clifton they also have one in Ramsey or Hohokus they also have a financial aid.I hope this been a help. Do not go to merit. They are failing all the students on purpose so you can stay for a long time and pay them more...They don't have any financial aids or any private loan. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere. The school reputation stinks in NJ and nobody will hire you if you graduate from this school. |

The Red Cross now does training for $1,250 so don't even bother. Catholic Charities in South Boston gives the training for $850, while 3 Dimensional Health offers the program for $770.05 in Dracut, MA and Winchester Hospital (in Winchester, MA of course) offers it for $550... I hope this helps somewhat :) |
