Alirn in Bronx, New York said: go to this link www.prometric.com/NewYork/default.htm and you can re-certify by taking your NY state exam again. This is the only way you can re-certify if you have not worked in a nursing home in the last two years. The test costs 115.00 there is no way to do it for free. Do not let anyone tell you that you have to take the classes again as you do not. If you have any questions the link I gave you will give you phone # you can call to ask questions

My name is Elenor. i know of places to go to get a cna certificate, however, you do have to pay for it. the good thing about it is that you can get financial aid for the training that you choose if you qualify. alot of cuny schools offer the program under allied health. apply for the financial aid; which in most cases you will qualify, and take the classes there.

I also heard that in order to get recertify, there's an option to volunteer at a nursing home somewhere in Brooklyn for 8 hours. Does anyone which nursing home?
