You people who write such harsh comments to others who are trying to find answers, should NOT be in the health care field. You are the kind of monsters who ABUSE their patients and residences!! If you want to be an A**Hole, you should be a BILL COLLECTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see so many people on this website who have the SAME question. Simply call your Community College where you live an speak to the Nursing Department. They have the answers for you.

you know some times people dont think before they speak , instead of being so hard on the person who is asking'' the queastion ? you know for the ones who are so rude . to others that are justing asking ?a queastion dont listen to them , they need alot of prayer and i for one will pray for every one on this statement , its always good to listen to others even if it dont make sent to others ' but at least they ask be a liltle kinder dont be rude when they are asking for help please one day u might ask queastion and u might get a response just like u did , any ways thats why they say u may think its' stupid to ask this but youre better off asking then looking stupid so thats why we ask wwhat we do before we make our self look foolish . thanks no queastion is stupid always ask

thanks so much for that remark. I myself am a nana and gone back to school but i want my cna to work opart time, my degree will be in mantal health I think the rude person should be my first clien. Obviously some agression issues, along with the fact that just because someone has a degree (like he or she may have) they may not have and I quote " a lick of common sense" so to you rude and ridiculous I say get off your Big B and go help someone just like you. thanks I sure don't need it.

I have no idea about re certifying a CNA but I would certainly hope that someone who has been certified in a profession in the past would know how to go about renewal.

To me, it is like a driver saying, "Gee, my Georgia driver's license has expired. Can anyone tell me how to get a new one?"

Here's a clue. Look on your last certificate and contact that entity. If it says "State of Arizona Department of Medical Licensing" or something like that, then ya know to look for the "Georgia" department, etc. How hard can it be?

Of course there may be some special practice only in the State of Georgia where one has to have the eyes from a South American pig to present as an offering in order to be re certified here.

thanks so much for that remark. I myself am a nana and gone back to school but I want my cna to work part time, my degree will be in mental health I think the rude person should be my first client. Obviously some agression issues, along with the fact that just because someone has a degree (like he or she may have) they may not have and I quote " a lick of common sense" so to you rude and ridiculous I say get off your Big B and go help someone just like you. thanks! I sure don't need it. You are a very rude individual. Thank goodness there are 10 nice to one stoop.

Gia said: how can you be so rude to consider someone's question stupid. If you dont have an answer to the question, or you dont feel like answering it, keep your disrespectful mouth shut. As far as i'm concerned, a stupid question is the question you dont ask. dont help if you're going to make the person feel bad while you're helping them out.

Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I see you are interested in Mental Health. Personally, I feel that is a great choice especially if you are able to deal with the dynamics of this field. Are you interested in being a Mental Health Technician, Nurse,Social Worker or exactly what type of Mental Health Worker? I know training used to be rather brief for Mental Health Techs in some states. Brief as in only a few months or less than a year. When I trained in the state of Illinois (back in the day) was less than a year and we challenge the state's test in Springfield. I tested out with an "A" to my amazement(lol). The pay however in some states are so much better than CNA pay...you can google search the differene of payscales. However, I must state this field is a real "challenge" and designed for the dedicated, strong and willing but I have grown to love it...just my opinion.

My teacher always told me there are no dumb questions, I'm glad you are not my teacher and hope you are not anyone's teacher.
