were you trained through royal oak? I called and they told me I have to be an employee.

I am currently a NURSING student in Dearborn, MI paying for my classes out-of-pocket. I cannot seem to find free CNA training with job placement anywhere, but I know it's out there! Can someone please help me.

Maine Medical Center in Portland has a program for CNA's. The medical center pays for the training and the books. I believe they even set up the test for you to get your certification on the last day of or around that time. You can find them online and download the application. I wish I had the flexibility to go there, but with three kids it's just too far. Good Luck!!

Liz in Saint Johns, Michigan said: Hey check with your local Michigan Works, be specific and ask them about the WIA program for CNA. It is a free training program in the state of Michigan. I just finished the program and didn't have to pay a dime. Hope this helps.

Do you know what the requirements are for this program. Is there a limit to your income that you can make, do you have to be enemployed, anything else of this nature. Please respond. I am looking to get into nursing and would like any info on any type of program that I can get to recieve free schooling since I can not afford it, but I do need a better job. LOOKING FOR ANY INFO ON FREE SCHOOLING FOR A NURSING CAREER IN DETROIT MICHIGAN. Thanks.
