Liz in Saint Johns, Michigan said: Hey check with your local Michigan Works, be specific and ask them about the WIA program for CNA. It is a free training program in the state of Michigan. I just finished the program and didn't have to pay a dime. Hope this helps.

I know there are alot of single mothers out here as well as a handful of single fathers and in my states you have a cash asst well i looked into getting my cna classes for free it took me months to find a good place to go and i found out that the State will help you pay for your classes in florida at least.now as you see im not a female by my name so yes men can do this as well single or not it doesnt matter just speak with your worker at children and families if she/he says they cant help GO OVER THEM!!!
there is ALOT of money we are NOT using please Use this and make more of yourself. don't depend on others.

Certified nursing assistants (CNAs), also known as nurses’ aides and orderlies, assist patients in the daily tasks of living, monitor patients’ vital signs, and keep nurses apprised of important information. A nursing assistant must utilize many of the qualities of a good nurse, especially a caring attitude and an ability to interact well with others. CNA work is often a stepping stone to a career in registered nursing. Job prospects for CNAs are excellent owing to the growing long-term care needs of an aging population.

Program is for 6 weeks . Monday to thursday from 9am to 1pm or 6pm to 9pm.

For those of you who are looking for free cna classes anywhere. You can go to your local unemployment office and ask about Workforce Investment Act program (WIA). It is in most if not all states. I did it and they paid for all my training, equiptment, tution, gas, scrubs everything. Not many people know about it.

workforce1 will pay for your cna classes free of charge along with your ekg and phlebotomy. it is called and itg grant. this is a government issued grant to pay for vocational training to gain employment. all you have to do is become a workforce member, which is also free, and then you fill out an application and your grant should be in your hand a month after you hand in your paper work

There are problems with all web search engines... because the SEARCH ENGINE will use a word like FREE to send you to special SEARCH SCREEN ... they use the names of popular web sites that even the owners of the web site are unaware of them.

So understand what is going on within this web world.

yes your workforce1 pays for a lot of health care certification and licensing it is called and itg grant or an wia grant. they give you up to 3800 to attend a vocational trainig. it is not financial aid it is a stimulus grant provided by the government to put people back into the workforce. google workforce1 or visit your nearest workforce1. for info.

I'm so sorry you encountered problems. most of us are not jerks we are actually quite friendly. as a matter of fact I lived in Mesa, Az in the 70's for a few years and I met a few crabs.lol pleasen don't judge the whole bunch because of one bad apple.

Hi I just took my cna state exam Dec 30th at Presybterian Village North nursing facility I got my cna certificate at Hearts in Training . Also a lady I used to work with says that Brentwood nursing home gives free classes so they might also do take the state test there perhaps you can check into them I do know that these places are in Dallas but I don't know if there close to where you live.you can google it or call information. hope this might help some Good luck and God Bless.
