Some are offered free at some nursing homes, also try the American Heart association. Contact the board of nuring in your state, I got a wealth of information from them too.

You need to check with the certification where you got your certification, and where you want to certify. I was in a similar situation. I had to do very minimal clic skills, and a very short testing, very basic.

Most of the free cna classes and training are provided by the Red Cross in the united states, so this may be your first port of call for finding information. There are hundreds of other sites such as freecnatraining.org which also look at the different options in the different states.

Hope this is helpful!

Rochelle Hassel in Detroit, Michigan said: Hi does anyone no of any free CNA classes in MI?I signed up for michigan works already but they dont have any funds at this time your respone will be kindly appreciated.God Bless or you can email me the information rochellehassel@yahoo.com[/QUO

There is another program funded by the state of Michigan called Michigan Rehabilitation. I do not know if you would follow under there criteria but they will help with any type of schooling, they receive so much money from the state to help you reach your goals. They help inmates who have been released from prison or jail find jobs, and as well people with mental, psychical disabilities. I worked with them a few yrs ago because I got cluster migraines that caused me to have seizures. I no longer have them because of a medication I am on. But worth a try. There really good people and willing to help you reach your goals in life.
