I need some information... I took a CNA class 2.5 years ago. I never went for the exam to get a license. Now.. I want to. I need some videos to demonstrate the steps and skills so I can take the test. Is there a time limit to when you take the exam.. or as long as you have your CNA are you able to go anytime or year to get the license?

Hi i just took the exam yesterday 10/21/10 and that was to renew the cna all you have to do is go back to your school and tell them you would like to take the test to renew the cna or go online and look up prometric and get the number off of it and call them and they will tell you how to renew the cna.

Hello, I was certified up until 2009, but it expired then. Is there a way I can get re-certified? You said you must receive a request, so consider this a request. Thank you for any help you can offer!

jen in Scribner, Nebraska said: i am currently a med aide at an assisted living facility and they want me to do cna work. i am not a certified cna and was just wondering if im supposed to be doing cna work if im not certified.

I'd check into that if i were you REAL quick!! I was a nurse aide for 3 years, then switched to housekeeping as it was a county facility & i'd make the same money not killing myself! ANYWAY, Even though i'd BEEN a cna, when i was helping transport a resident to the dinning room, i was told flat out i could lose my job doing that, as i was no longer a cna. Seems the state has a big bugaboo about non cna's transporting residents. That's in new york state though. Might be different where you are, but better safe than sorry. I'd ask whoever is in charge of nursing, & any other higher ups you can find. Good luck, & hope this helped.

i AM A CNA right now, and my certification expires on the 10th of this month. I have worked in an agency for over a year. I am working now in a skilled facility and have been employed with them since The 19rh of January. I have done the 7 hrs that PSI has regquired to do. But the facility that I am working for is not willing to sign the recertification paperwork. They are saying that I have to do 12 hrs. of inservices, which the recertification paperwork does not say that I need any of that. PSI is claiming that they can't make a facility to sign the paperwork, which doesn't make sense since they did not put this in writting that I also need the 12 hrs. of inservice. Please explain to me what I need to do. Thank you very much. Mrs. Caren Haase

Hello,
I was wondering, does anyone know of a program or place or even some information about working at a place and they will give you your CNA certificate. I am looking for information about it cause I want to become a LPN. But to do that I gotta go back to school and get my math scores up. But I am thinking that if I just can get in there and see what it is to be a CNA then I can really make the chose if I want to become A LPN or not.
I just don`t want to waste time in what ever I am going to do cause I`m not getting any younger...
