Working as a nursing assistant is one of the most rewarding occupations there are. It is more than just a "job". It is a passion! You have to genuinely love what you do to give this type of nursing care to our elderly and disabled populations. I applaud any person that can stick with their career as a nursing assistant, throughout the rewarding, but at times, hard work that it is. |

Personally speaking, I feel that the care that nursing assistants give to their clients is worth its weight in gold. It is basically the nursing assistant that is at an elderly person's bedside, holding their hand, and letting them know that everything will be o.k.. It is the nursing assistant that usually answers that call light in the middle of the night to give a drink of water to a patient with a parched dry throat. Nursing assistants actually give basic nursing care. |
