have been looking for a job in a cosmetics company working with chemicals, skincare, etc. However, i have found that it is a hard industry to get your foot in the door. I have a bachelor's in microbiology with a minor in chemistry and mathematics from florida with a 3.8 gpa. I graduated in 2008 and have since worked in microbiology labs. I plan to get my masters in cosmetics science, however, in the meantime i'd like to get some relevant experience under my belt, since i feel that that is the reason i am being held back a little.
Ive applied to many recruiter companies and moved here to new jersey in hopes to find more opportunities since the cosmetic industry is much, much bigger here than in Florida. I need some advice on how to land an interview from any cosmetic company, since I am just looking for an entry level job to start with.
