I have a CNA licsence in Texas. How do I transfer to North Carolina?

If you already are Licensed, Certified, Registered or State
Approved in your own State and want to move to another state, you will need to request reciprocity. This means that you are asking the new state to recognize the approval you received from your home state. Contact the State registry in your home state and request a "Application for Enrollment By Reciprocity". Ask them if you should send the completed form to them or to the state to which you are moving. The contact inforamtion for the state registries can be found at www.4cnas.com

NC is one of the only states that will not let u transfer. u have to take the test over both clincal and written and it's about $100. I have a girl friend who just went through it.

You will have to challange the exam. Look at the website www.ncnar.org (i think). Anyway there are a few places in and around Charlotte where you can take the exam. You'll have to pay the fee and retake both the written and clinical tests. I know for sure they do not accept any other state licences!

I would also study the book they'll send you and know all the steps. Don't forget the critical steps.
