CNA 20 +YRS IN GERIATRIC CARE

I love working with the elderly.Im no longer physically able to continue my work in a nursing home.This broke my heart because I know how important it is that we have people who really care working with the eldrely.What I like most about working in greiatric care is the smiles and the thanks they give you when they know you care about them.It makes you feel worhty and that makes up for any bad days you may have.What I dont like is how the nursing homes oppreate.I dont like the fact that some of the people who are supposed to care really dont.I wish that I could change the way its ran.The first thing id do is demand team work.The 2nd thing is assign the approiate number of aids to residents this way they get much better care and every thing wouldnt be so rush rush.The 3rd is change the get up time its entirely to early with the exception for some doc,appointments.Why cant this be done after all this is an 24hr opporation.Im seeking employment in a hospital but its not easy they are hard to get in without hospital experience im still trying.I may have to take a class in order to get a position in an hospital.Does anyone know of another way?
