I recently took the Nursing Assistant I Exam in North Carolina, but live in Rochester, NY. I found out that you do not have to take an exam to become a state certified Nursing Assistant II., but you do have to take the class.

How did you take the NC exam for NA 1 when you still live in NY? Did you have to go down there to take the exam? I'm asking because I live in PA and want to take the CNA exam for NC. Thx!

There are several schools in Charlotte,NC.They are Carolinas Co;;ege of Health
Science (cmc hospital), Sernity nursing academy, American Healthcare Academy.

I am currently in a cna2 program at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte,NC.
After I complete the course I will a test through the NC Board of Nursing.You
could look at the hospitals in your area and call and see if they offer a program at their site. This course is for six weeks and costs $640.00 I do not
think you can just go and take the test unless you take the program.

A cna 1 does basic skills of daily living such as bathing, feeding,taking vital
signs,The cna 2 does sterile technic skills such as inserting catheters,oro-
pharyngeal and nasopharyngeal suctioning, tracheostomy care,,wound irrigation,sterile dressings for wounds over 48 hrs old,ostomy care and irrigation,blood glucose finger testing,setting up an sterile field,oxygen therapy set up and monitoring flow rate,peripheral iv fluids monitoring and site
care,discontinuing iv infusions,break-up and removal of fecal impaction.

You can go to www.pearsonvue.com web site and go to your state to find a test
center site. It will list locations and times.

I do not know of any on line practice tests for the cna2 exam. My exam was done
at the college where I went to,because it was a NC Board of Nursing approved
college. My exam score and my approved cna2 skills were sent to the board and
they mailed me my certification.

Check your community college or local hospital for any cna2 nursing programs.

Yes there is. You must pass the exam which gives you a 2 year license then you have to retake the exam.

you do but in florida you an chanllange the state test and when u pass the test be state cert

Prometrics in Brandon or Kissimmee.You can go to Cna central and Tim will get it set up for you. It will cost you $161.00
You may be able to set that up on yor own thru Prometrics.

Has anyone taken the CNA Skills test in Miami, Florida?
I have couple of questions?
1) How many skills are given and under how many minutes you are supposed to do them?

2) Are you supposed to follow the order that is written on the card that you've picked? or can you start at any order?

3) Can anyone tell me what you did once you entered the exam room?
Sorry so many questions, I just wanted to be prepared on my test date. Thank you everyone!

No there is no state testing, just your final in your cna 2 class, Pass that and you are on the registry as a 2 instead of a 1.

Find out what book you will use and go to Amazon Books .com or put a flyer on
one of the boards in the hall way at school,wanting a used cna 2 book. Good luck.
