There are other options depending on your state. CNA's can also work in hospitals, private duty and in some cases in a clinic.

Depending on your state, you can work in public schools, universities, government health agencies, etc. Good luck - it is definitely a good career decision!

-Hospice
-Psych Units (pediatric to geriatric. VERY strong demand for male CNAs)
-Home Health (two choices: do a route and give baths to multiple pts or have one you do everything including light cooking and taxi service for.)
-Sitting. Either agency or directly for a facility.
-LTAC units (usually located on the floors of hospitals but run by separate companies)
-Restorative (BUT - this is considered a "lay out" and is rife with favoritism. Also, some facilities pull restorative to floor if they are short)
-Very few clinics (BUT - worse than restorative. Helps to know someone and no CNA quits a clinic unless they move onward through education)
