I move to GA, from MI,and I want to know is my CNA license knowledgeable,in this state. I'm not sure how to go about doing things for this state,is there a number I should call. If there any jobs available that would be greatly appreicated too, I haven't seen any nursing homes in Hampton, GA. |

I do believe you will have to complete all state of Georgia CNA requirements before practicing here in the US. I don't think any reciprocity exists between other countries. You can find local CNA classes in Georgia offered at community colleges. The course work can usually be completed in as little as three months. The fees per credit unit at junior colleges are usually very affordable. The Georgia State Board of Nursing can provide licensure information. |

tina jordan in Gainesville, Georgia said: i am a cna instructor in georgia. you need to contact the georgia cna registry. if you are certified in maryland you should be able to transfer your certification. you can reach them on the internet at www.ghp.ga.gov then click directories then click nurse aid forms and you will see the nurse aid out-of-state reciprocity. you can download and fill out that form and then mail it to the registry Hi Mrs Jordan,my name is Luvena Williams. I am from Mississippi and want to move to Georgia.I have completed my cna class back in 2003 but never took the state test. The hospital I worked for did not require you to be licensed. Would I have to take the class all over again? |

Are the demands out there for CNA??/ I already spent 1,700 on books etc at KSU and getting no where applied for CMAA jobs on and off since Sept 2011, medical receptionist jobs etc then a few times a week outside of my field. I was thinking of taking classes in Feb for CNA hoping with the NHA certificate in CMAA and CNA and possible phlebotomy that I can land a job. Also I am petite is this going to cause an issue?? I need something solid for the next 15 years. |

I am planning a move to georgia and when I came on here and saw so many people who have done or in the process of doing the same thing I thought I would get some help but some comments are no good, but I did a little more google searching on my own and I found the site to go to, to get the reciprocity form and for those who are still trying to get it all u have to do is go on this website: www.mmis.georgia.gov and click the nurse aide tab and u will see the reciprocity form in the top right box that says Nurse Aide Forms. |
