Bobby in Sidney, New York said: Hello! I would be very wary of taking a CNA course online. I would definitely check your local state board to make sure it's approved. Some states mandate you need to have clinical time for your 75+ hours. I have a friend who did her class online, only to find out it wasn't approved in New York. Just make sure you are safe before you pay the money. Hope this helps. Oh, and most times you don't need a GED or diploma.

WHERE I LEAVE TO GET YOUR CNA LICENSE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE YOUR GED NORE YOUR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. MOST NURSING HOMES HERE DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE IT BUT IF YOU WANT TO WORK IN A HOSPITAL YOU WILL.

Go to GED classes first or do both at the same time!

don't know since I don't live in your area but push on forums there has been a lot of talk about CNA classes and I know I seen several pages talking about NY. Until then go to the employment office near you and ask about training. Be very specific and and ask about all programs..a lot of time these place don't OFFER info, you have to know what you want.

Sounds like a lot of you should be concentrating on getting a GED. It doesn't take long. Check with the school system about free GED classes.

umm..if you cant get a h.s diploma i don't think you should be a nurse of any kind. why not work on your GED? think about it, would you want someone as a nurse who cant get a h.s diploma?

WOW! I am scared at this point! Trust me if you can't spell just the basic words that we use on a day to day base's, then please go get your G.E.D! It will not take long for you all to do! I need it and it was the best thing I ever did! It will really help you with your jobs, schools and other things you will do in your life! Not only that it will make you feel so much better about yourself!

Keep your head up and work hard and you will go a long way!

Get your G.E.D!

If you can work hard getting your CNA then you can work hard getting your G.E.D!

You don't need a GED or HS diploma to get your certifications in CNA or HHA. I know this because I got dont have one and am a CNA. I actually use the website above. Helpful instructors and great education.
