I am designing work wear for a leading international brand and wanted to hear from you guys on what you want to wear on teh job site.
What is your favorite jacket/pant and why?
How much would you pay for a water proof breathable work jacket?
What is your favorite brand?
Any design features you would like to see in clothing that isnt currently available?

Thanks very much for your time, I look forward to your responces.
Greg

Carhartt pants. Every day. But the problem for me is that they look dumpy and the waist is too high. If you could have something as rugged as those, but with more modern styles (fit like more hip jeans), I would buy a lot of them.

I totally agree with Jay, Carrhart's are awesome. They out live any thing I've tried. I was happy to hear Carrhart finally started making women's work clothes. Unfortunately, they may as well be 80's style wrangler's. People have changed the way they wear clothes, now the clothes need to change. Straighter cut leg's that don't "flair in" at the ankles and lower waist line's. Bigger cargo pockets are always good too. I would pay up to $110 for a great pair of durable work pants.

I would love to find a breathable long sleeved shirts that has UV protection. Summer is the worst time for construction workers. Picture yourself on the top floor of a high rise in 45+ celcius building/pouring forms with no shade. Unlike 20yrs ago people are concerned about the long term effects of to much sun.

Maybe it is an idea to look at www.myhitachiexperience.com to see what other workers wear? Dunno, maybe it helps.
