Do not work for Midasco in Elkridge Maryland for any reason my brother operators. They do not care about their field employess and take advantage of them every chance they get. I was told they went through 4 crane operators in less than a year. Their top pay is only 25.00 per hour for NCCCO and no overtime until 40hrs. Not too mention they want you to flip flop between nights and days on the fly, all for straight time. Support is little to none if any. Apparently they have flipped a crane in the past 2 years. They currently work on the beltway 495 and have several other road projects for signage and cameras etc, working as a subcontractor for other companies... BEWARE the HR director sells a good deal but it turns out NOT to be the culture they suggested after you are hired.

Sounds like typical open shop corporate construction America. United we bargain, divided we beg.

They let a guy get on a machine who was not qualified and he forgot to put the out-riggers out. Rather he just shot them straight down and flipped it. All boom trucks and two of them are new and in good shape actually. Other than standing all day and having a crap load chart, they are not bad machines frankly. It is just who owns them is the problem. Hopefully their lifestyle company will pan out for all at corporate headquarters, as they suggest they are better than others in the company.

The CEO should do the under-cover boss show, that way he can see what really goes on in his company day to day. He seems to be so removed and protected from the truth(maybe lied to) from what I saw. It is kind of sad, they have a GREAT vision/mission on paper that will never mature under the currrent program in place. There is room for everyone there, if they would just open their eyes to real change and offering support to their employees. Unfortunately, the bad things that need changing there wash out what little good they do have in place.

Like I said man, it really is sad. Midasco has a great vision and mission on paper that they shove in your face on a 4X2 board. But they refuse to live by it HONESTLY on both sides of the fence. It could be a awesome place to work actually. There are many things about it that are good. Most people at the home office, just kept on about how better they are than everyone in the field. The president is hidden from the real truth of what goes on, or like I said lied to, or maybe refuses to see it and does not care. Everyone is bucking for a position at the corporate office and they want to keep all the glory and credit for everything that gets done. It was always a bait and switch with them is how I saw it.

As for the crane accident, who knows what the guy was thinking as he was not a crane operatore

I'm pretty sure my husband worked with you Overture, maybe trained you. All I know is i totally agree. They had him work crazy hours, flip flop so bad he could hardly see straight. He hated going to work and they treated him like crap! Worst job he ever had in 23 years in construction. they had better get heir crap together before they get caught. Working someone 36 hours straight like they did to him on more than one occasion is so friggin dangerous its not even funny! Driving a huge boom truck HELLO against the law. He has a great job now where they treat him with the respect and compensation he deserves for being a very talented operator.
