Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming criminal investigator interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

Aways get the suspect on your on turf. Get in his or her comfort Zone. Don't talk down to the suspect. Treat him or her as you would want to be treated. Find out an interest of the suspect and talk about it before talking about the crime as to get him or her comfortable with you. Control the interview. Always, and I repeat always, be prepared before you interview the suspect. Don't go fishing. They will alway pick up on the fact that you really don't have anything, and will turn the interview around to where you are on the defense instead of you being in controll.
