Hi, I am currently employed as an Information support Analyst by the company I work for but I feel, and it has been agreed by them, that my job title does not accurately describe exactly what I do, more of a M.I. Administration role. I would really like to be able to develop my skills as this is an area of work that I would like to progress within but have no idea how to go about it. I currently only have Excel database experience, use of functions, pivot tables, V Lookups etc for compilation of Management information and have been told that if I find a course relevant to my role I may be able to suggest it to the company.
I have ordered books on Excel dashboard reporting and VBA to self teach, but does anyone know of any distant learning available that would help me? From reading job descriptions SQL, Access, Cognos seem to be the way forward? Can anyone help me I feel a bit out of my depth in knowing where to start?
