I have been a Dental Assistant for 17yrs. My last job I made 22 dollars an hour in a general practice and my boss thought that was too much! I am certified in taking x-rays, coronal polishing, flouride, pit and fissure sealants. I have worked 8-5 and 9-6 and every other saturdays 9-1. The salary range for Assistants never match up to what "We" really make blows my mind!! |

DA isn't for everyone. If you find a great dentist and co-workers to work for and with then its worth it. I have to say try a temp agency and that way you find what office to not work for and keep your options open. |
