Is anyone currently studying in TCDH or has anyone graduated from that school? I am planning to apply to the May program but I do not have the right requirement admission for it. How is the admission test like? hard? and how big are the changes of getting accepting into that school? Also, is it a good school to study for the Toronto area? Thanks |

They are an accredited school which is good (you will graduate and not need to do a clinical competancy exam for the CDHO) their results on the National Dental Hygiene Board exam aren't bad either - 90% pass average over 2008 and 84% in the January 2009 exam. (www.ndhcb.ca/files/Jan_09_aggregate_results.pdf and www.ndhcb.ca/files/2008_School_Sum_Report.pdf) So it sounds as if you are going to a reasonable place. Regardless of where you go so school you will only get out of the program as much as you put into it. Consequently, work very hard and you will find the exams relatively easy, slack off and you will find it no fun and very difficult. Similarly once you finish and are working - it isn't easy working with the public and you will find it rewarding if you really care about what you do. |

I went to the sister school in Vancouver and the test to get in was SUPER easy. If you grew up speaking the English language most of it is a breeze. |
