I have been a RDH for 3 years and am currently layed off. I am thinking of working for the military, preferably the Navy. Does anyone have any information on how to get hired with the Navy? I also am wondering the difference between being a civilian Dental Hygienist or an enlisted Dental Hygienist? If someone has any information could they please let me know? I have looked on USAjobs.gov but there are no Navy jobs on there. |

Enlisted means you are in the Navy. Civilian means you just work there. There are different civilian positions. GS, government service... work for the Navy direct this would be the best but hard to come by, we all want this job. Contractor is what I am or rather who i work for, OMO health care company, there are other contracts even within my office. MidAmerica Health, and Ingenesis. org . You might also look directly at the Navy... Department of Navy Human Resources if you google this follow the we site and you might find something here or over seas. Email me with questions tinafloyd5@netscape.net |

If you are willing to relocate to NM there will be a position open, GS6 civilian for the army, as I am declining tomorrow morning. I was hired and went there for the past week to find a place to live but the salary isn't enough to cover my cost of living. If you are single with no kids you might be able to afford it. Let me know and I'll give you the info I have. skprdh@yahoo.com |

Does anyone know if there are contractors that place hygienists overseas for the military? If so, which ones are they? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Jennifer |
